WORLD PREMIERE - AUTUMN TOUR, 2014
Andre thinks that Kerry-Ann will make the perfect bride. Never mind the age gap between them. He is convinced that the best wives are innocent – and stupid. And Kerry-Ann has seen nothing of the world. Andre has made sure of that. He has kept her locked up since she was a child. ‘She is like some fresh dumplin’ dough that I moulded into the shape I wanted,’ he says.
And now, she is 18. The wedding is all arranged. All he has to do is to tell her the good news...
School fi Wifey is based on a classic comedy by Moliere – updated and set in Jamaica, and featuring ‘dancehall’ movement and songs!
It MAAAD! It SWAGGERIFIC!
The show will appeal, in particular, to audiences for Black History Month; to young people and students; and to people who enjoy modern dance, and ‘classic’ plays.
